Electro-Mechanical Technician

This Field Service Technician position is for an individual with Electro-Mechanical skills; training will be provided.

Duties:

  • Perform mechanical and process system field startup, testing, training and support services in a Water and Wastewater environment
  • Meter calibrations
  • Lift station service and maintenance
  • Chemical feed systems
  • Process instrumentation
  • Low-level PLC and HMI troubleshooting and programming
  • Assist sales personnel on strategic calls

Responsibilities:

  • Dependable, trustworthy, self-starter capable of working independently
  • Have a positive role in aiding to maintain a great team environment
  • Attend select conferences and become more visible to clients
  • Build strong customer relationships through startup and training services provided
  • Make calls on Water & Wastewater facilities looking to bolster our local services
  • Attend product training sessions conducted by manufacturers
  • Potential regional out of town and overnight stays required
  • Potential on-call/on-demand service required
  • Confined space certification is a preferred

Education:

  • High school diploma; technical degree preferred
  • A grade one wastewater operator’s license is a plus

Project Manager-Electrical Designer

As Project Manager/Electrical Designer you are responsible for the design, management, and profit & loss of projects assigned to you – from inception through start-up and acceptance. It is the intent to develop and adhere to corporate design standards as much as possible but each project will have its variation allowing for creative or alternative designs and/or solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Overall project understanding – specs, proposal, pricing, related projects, etc. – expert above all others
  • Oversee and direct all project activities and resources (CAD, documentation, admin, panel, programming, start-up, etc.)
  • Project technical design
  • Research of equipment to meet specifications and or function
  • Drafting review
  • Review of material BOMs before releasing to purchasing
  • Schedule of Values (SOV) and invoice staging
  • Project budget and profit & loss
  • Scheduling and prioritization
  • Project meetings and site visits as necessary
  • Develop project documentation including submittals and O&Ms
  • Proactive communication – internal and external
  • Engineer, contractor, and customer relationship
  • Post-project analysis
  • Proactive communications, scheduling of resources, and prioritization will be paramount to a successful project
  • Identify and communicate to PM and/or Sales deviations or additions to the original scope of work
  • Seek additional service and or sales opportunities with customers and communicate with the sales team
  • Report, accurately, all time worked, particularly time worked on billable jobs.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily as well as possess the following skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, ability to prioritize, flexible, adaptable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, decision-making, analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and other job-specific software packages
  • Very adaptable – responds effectively to changes in situation or information; ability to influence others and build consensus using good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of wiring schematics is preferred
  • Experience in electrical controls design and development is preferred
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field required. Relevant experience will also be taken into consideration.
