Saukville Wins Wastewater System of the Year!

The Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA) held its Annual Technical Conference this spring in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This year’s event saw a record-breaking turnout with over 1,400 registered attendees, highlighting the growing engagement and commitment within the state’s water and wastewater industries.

A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the “Wastewater System of the Year” award. This year, the Village of Saukville Sewer Utility was honored with this accolade, emerging as the top wastewater treatment plant out of approximately 600 municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) across Wisconsin. This recognition underscores Saukville’s dedication to excellence in wastewater management and their significant contributions to environmental protection and public health.
