Saukville Wins Wastewater System of the Year!
The Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA) held its Annual Technical Conference this spring in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This year’s event saw a record-breaking turnout with over 1,400 registered attendees, highlighting the growing engagement and commitment within the state’s water and wastewater industries.
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the “Wastewater System of the Year” award. This year, the Village of Saukville Sewer Utility was honored with this accolade, emerging as the top wastewater treatment plant out of approximately 600 municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) across Wisconsin. This recognition underscores Saukville’s dedication to excellence in wastewater management and their significant contributions to environmental protection and public health.
Energenecs is very proud of their hometown, and have provided continuous professional Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) services to the wastewater treatment plant, collection system, and water distribution network. Jared Feider, president of Energenecs, remarks “Ray and his team are incredibly accommodating and always eager to showcase their plant. It’s evident that they have a genuine passion for the industry and take great pride in their work.”
