Meet Team Member Emily Vebber

Emily joined the Energenecs technical sales team in September, providing western Wisconsin with water and wastewater process equipment.

What is your background?

I was born and raised in Milwaukee and went to Marquette University for mechanical engineering.

Mechanical engineers conceive, plan, design and direct the manufacturing, distribution and operation of a wide variety of devices, machines and systems for energy conversion, environmental control, materials processing and other purposes.

My grandpa had a big influence on me going into engineering. He was a process engineer and had a water treatment background. I wanted to challenge myself and mechanical engineering was a challenge for me.

My engineering background led me to sales engineering. I was in industrial automation for the past twelve years serving diverse industries including food and beverages, foundries, small machine builders, medical and printing. I am looking forward to being very industry focused at Energenecs with water and wastewater treatment. I am excited to discover what technologies are out there and what people need.

I will mostly be working with Steve Berggruen and Larry Henderson with everything on the wastewater side from the headworks to tertiary treatment. I also have a controls background which will allow me to work well with Brian Akason and Nick Crevcoure as well.

What do you do in your spare time?

We do a lot of do-it-yourself home renovations and I also run… it’s the most efficient way to get a workout in. I run all year around and have completed a couple of half-marathons. I mostly run so I can eat custard and drink beer [laughs]!
