A Strategic Move Toward Local Production

The new facility, which represents a $41 million investment, is HUBER’s response to growing demands for locally manufactured products in compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act. Spanning 140,000 square feet, the Denver plant is engineered to streamline production processes and greatly enhance efficiency in production.

Johan van Ettekoven, Regional Sales Director at HUBER Technology, shared insights into the development and capabilities of the new plant. “The transition from relying solely on our German plant to establishing a full-fledged production facility in North Carolina has been monumental. With this move, we are significantly enhancing our service to U.S. clients by localizing production,” he explained.

The Denver facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that supports environmentally sustainable practices, reflecting HUBER’s dedication to responsible manufacturing. The establishment of the Denver plant has also been a boon for local employment. Over the past two years, the facility has created 80 jobs, with plans to add an additional 50 positions by the end of 2024. This initiative extends beyond HUBER, stimulating economic growth and fostering prosperity within the region through partnerships with local suppliers.

Global Presence, US Focus

With manufacturing plants in Germany, China, and the United States, HUBER maintains a robust global presence. The strategic placement of the new facility in North Carolina leverages the local skilled workforce and favorable business climate, positioning HUBER to better serve its American clients and reinforce its industry leadership in innovative solutions.

“This landmark event is the result of three decades of hard work and dedication,” said CEO Georg Huber in his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony. ”And it is the starting point of a new phase in the company’s history, not only for HUBER USA, but for the entire HUBER Group.
