Dan Waala Joins the Energenecs Team

We are excited to announce Dan Waala joined the Energenecs team in July 2019 as an aftermarket customer service and sales representative serving water reclamation municipalities, water utilities, and industrial wastewater facilities. Dan brings extensive experience in the wastewater industry.

His responsibilities include finding customer’s needs and coordinating the delivery of Energenecs process, control and services solutions.

For the past thirty years Dan has been a wastewater operator for the City of Brookfield, the City of Waukesha and most recently, the plant supervisor for the Village of Jackson.

Over the years as an operator and plant supervisor, Dan would get salesmen in the plant that knew their product very well, but few really understood what an operator goes through in operating a plant or the associated challenges and needs. Dan feels like he can relate better to operators in helping them find the right solutions to their problems. Recently he met with a wastewater supervisor that told him, “this is something that, as operators, we have been wanting to see for some time.” Dan remarked “It’s really been a passion of mine and I just can’t believe that I’m doing it at Energenecs!”

Being in this business for the last thirty years Dan knew about Energenecs from having techs out at the plants he worked at and from wastewater conferences.

“I’m just so glad I am able to do this for Energenecs, which is such a great company. They are well known, and so far, everyone that I have met with just loves the service and everything they have to offer. It really feels like a great fit and I feel appreciated as much as I appreciate them!”

In his spare time, Dan likes to golf, hike with his wife, and recently took up bowling again after thirty years. His other big passion is long distance bike riding. He has a 100 mile ride coming up, and recently completed a 150 miler! He says he really enjoys going out riding early in the morning to appreciate the solitude of an empty road. According to Dan “This year has been a whirlwind, it’s been tremendous!”
